My parents raised me
Teaching me wrong from right
Leading by example
Promoting love in every way

I dealt with illness
As a child I didn’t quite understand
God engrained it in my core
He held my hand and gave me strength to bear it all

Pain no longer is unbearable
Faith doesn’t make it stop, it never goes away
Yet, I know without a doubt, there’s a reason for all that I endure
My hope lies in my future – an eternity void of pain

We rear our son
May he grow in strength and stature
May he learn to love the Lord with all his might
May he lean upon God’s guidance in all decisions that he makes
By Faith…
I try to live each day to glorify His Name
I know that people watch me, in good times and in bad
My reaction to my circumstances can either build up or tear down
May all my actions reflect my love of Christ
