The trains of thought come crashing through the station of my mind
Never slowing, never stopping, passing right on by
I catch a little glimpse of the glory that’s on board
Ever shining, oh so brightly, calling me with its allure
Suddenly I hear screeching as the brakes try to take hold, smoke billowing from its wheels
I can hear the music and the laughter emanating from within
Such joy and peace and happiness seem to be at its very core
All aches and pains from life are released from my very soul
As the train doors slowly open, I begin to walk on board
Before my foot even touches the floor I hear a horrific clanging noise coming from afar
I turn to see what the disturbance is but cannot see a thing
I feel a swooshing of air behind me and when I turn the doors are closing without me
Dejectedly I walk down the platform knowing that glory was within my reach
This dream train once again left the station without me
But as I climb slowly down the steps the sunshine hits me upon my face
Its only then that I realize - God’s not ready for me yet!
