A sea of unkown faces and names that I will never know float before my eyes as I gaze into the field It's filled with thousands of crosses Death is all around
Why did they have to die - is the universal cry Instead, remember them not for their death but rather for their lives The lives that meant something to so many different people They are mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, husbands and wives, sons and daughters, friends and lovers
In life our paths may never have crossed So different we each might be A Republican here, a Democrat there Country music for me, jazz for you
The differences may seem endless but similarites still exist We all want to mean something to someone no matter who we were We all will leave a legacy behind - no matter what we did How we lived our lives - good or bad - the choice was ours to make But once death arrives at our doors, we all become the same The choices made when we were alive are set firm upon our death
Each choice we make is important to who we are in life But one choice is ever important for our eternal soul The choice is rather simple - two words on either side You alone can make the choice, you alone can decide
Heaven or Hell...Jesus or Satan It all comes down to this This choice you make in life can mean something, especially in your death So stop and think it over but don't wait until it's too late Choose the path that leads to heaven and those that remain behind won't have to worry about your fate
