As humans in a volatile world each of us will go through periods of light and darkness as our circumstances change.The goal that we should strive for daily is to reach always for the light.If we keep in mind that it only takes the tiniest bit of light to brighten up the darkest of places, then life would be easier to handle no matter what the circumstances.
