I went to sleep one dreary night with so much on my mind
Some people in this world today think so many horrific things
They consider life to be whatever they desire, not what it’s meant to be
So as I drift off into never land, I ask my Lord one thing –
“God tell me please how can I get these people here on earth to see the value of life
at each and every stage?”
As I drifted off to sleep, God’s Words echoed in my head,
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you…”
Now listen my child to what I say and take it to heart…
Go out into the world you see and tell everyone what I say.
Life isn’t just valuable at certain points of time,
Your value lies in My Love for you – which began long before your birth.
I love you for you and you alone – not for some physical attributes or abilities.
Your value cannot be diminished due to accident or health.
Neither does how you came into this world doesn’t make a difference
on the impact you can make
Your value lies in you and you alone.
So maybe you are feeling old and helpless and some may say that you’re a burden
But take some time and think back upon your life
and the many blessings you have shared
You were important in someone’s life simply because you cared.
Your life is more important than you think – no matter who you are.
Do you find yourself with an unborn child?
Fret not, my child for you can become an answer to someone’s special prayer to be a mom.
If not for you that joy might never happen.
Know any teenager who feels like the world is railing against them.
They find themselves rebelling at each and ever turn,
Stop and take a moment to really listen to their concerns.
The time you take will show them that they are worth fighting for.
Injured in an accident and feeling rather helpless?
Maybe now is the time that I planned for you to take a rest.
You’ve spent your life caring for others for so very long.
You’ve blessed them with your time and love
but now it’s someone else’s turn to feel needed
And you can help by being the one that they can help.
Illness got you down and unable to get out?
You’re value doesn’t stop, it just changes its approach.
Make a call, send a note or simply share a smile
Remember – your value lies in you.
The end of life approaches, yet your value doesn’t diminish in My eyes
You’ve a lifetime of wisdom obtained through years of all your living
Share that wisdom with a youngster
And a part of you will always go on living
No matter where you are in life
No matter who you are in life
No matter what you think in life
You value lies in you and you alone
My love for you will always be
I loved you before the world began - just because you were you
My love for you will go on long after you leave this world
If anyone ever casts doubt upon the value of a life,
Please gently remind them of this:
“they are fearfully and wonderfully made”
And their value lies in My love for them.
