My blankie and me are inseparable you see
I need her and she needs me
When I am sad - she brings me joy
When I am sleepy - she brings me rest
When I am scared - she brings me comfort
No matter what the problem is
my blankie brings me what I need
Then one day I grew up and my blankie was no more
What would take its place?
To find the answer became a chore
Just when I thought that a replacement had been found
My life would become overwhelmed by crises abound
My replacement served a purpose for one thing - but not another
I began my search again, in earnest I would look
But as for an answer - I just couldn’t find another
Then one day I heard The Word
His name was Jesus Christ
I read some more and learned all I could
I just couldn’t get enough
Then it hit me all at once
The answer I was looking for was right before my eyes
It wasn’t in an object and it wasn’t in a person
The solution to my problem was my precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Now, when I am sad or blue - scared or all alone -
I know just where to turn for help - my answer every time
Just put your trust in Jesus Christ -
just like I did with mine
The greatest thing that you will find
is His answer is right
Each and Every Time
